On Thrusday 4/20, Hawaii’s Democratic Party is hosting a forum discussing Hawaii’s future with marijuana. The forum begins at 5:30 p.m. and will open with a legislative summary delivered by Representative Tulsi Gabbard. Following the overview, a question and answer session will open up.
The forum will take questions until 7:30 p.m. according to Big Island Now. The forum isn’t just to educate residents, but lawmakers as well. Part of the discussion will include efforts in Congress to deschedule marijuana.

- Federal decriminalization
- National marijuana trend
- Status of Hawaii medical marijuana dispensaries
- Health benefits of marijuana
Some of the members of the panel include Senator Will Espero and Founder of the Maile Cannabis Clinic, Me Fuimaono-Poe. Pamela Lichty of the Drug Policy Forum of Hawaii will also be a panelist.
