New Maui Marijuana Dispensary Will Include an Education Center

Pono Life Science Maui was granted licensing to dispense medical marijuana. In the dispensary’s plans, it lists space for a marijuana education center, making it the first dispensary of its kind in Hawaii.

The dispensary hasn’t started growing yet, Hawaii News Now reports. It is still awaiting permission to grow from the Department of Health. Education and retail areas are designated to be the waiting area for those coming to the dispensary with medical marijuana cardholders.

The general public won’t be permitted into the dispensing area or restricted sections. Local politicians and community leaders (among others) were informed about the plans for the dispensary’s space. The public education area received a positive reaction.
